Call for Community Events
during Chroma Zone Art Happenings Night
Thursday September 12, 2019
Chroma Zone is St. Paul’s and Minnesota’s first public mural and art festival, happening over the course of eight days on Sept 7th - 14th, 2019. Chroma Zone is a celebration of the artistry, commerce, and community found within the Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ).
The festival program will include the creation of twelve large outdoor murals by local, national, and international artists over the span of eight days, as well as events with community partners within the CEZ, including the Little Mekong Night Market, walking tours, a beer crawl, and more.
And More might be YOU!
We are inviting artists and makers in the CEZ to apply to put on a special happening during the community night for the Festival. The Chroma Zone organizing team will select four events to promote as part of the Festival program.
We are looking for:
• A film event
• An art event
• A maker open house
• A performance
Your event must be family friendly, open to the public between 6 and 8 pm on Sept 12, include an activity or demonstration, and food and beverages.
We offer each selected venue a $200 stipend.
Please submit your proposal to us by July 23, 2019. Send an email that includes a short description of your event, who will be hosting it, how you will promote the event to your audiences, what you want Chroma Zone to promote.
We will notify you if you are selected by August 6, 2019!
